Located in the heart of Austria, Schloss Ernegg is an unspoilt, privately run castle set in a stunning 70 hectare estate comprising of a golf course and woodlands with far reaching views over the Danube valley.
It welcomes guests between May and October.
The Castle and estate, owned by the Auersperg family since 1656, is located in the heart of Austria and is easily accessible between Linz and Vienna.
Our hearts beat for the tranquillity, the open space, and the authentic atmosphere of this historic castle surrounded by nature.
Origins
Our History
A historic castle with a story
Schloss Ernegg was first mentioned in 979. Originally granted to the Bishop of Regensburg by Otto II, the castle has passed through centuries of noble ownership and careful stewardship.
Today, Schloss Ernegg showcases 16th-century architecture, including a trapezoidal layout, a central tower, an arcaded courtyard, and the Chapel of St. Bartholomew, lovingly restored in 2002 for private weddings.

Georgina Auersperg Newall, a trained landscape designer and direct descendant of the Auersperg lineage, dedicated to restoring and maintaining the castle while creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for guests.
